SUMMARY:1st Annual Hidden814worth Online Auction!
DESCRIPTION:Greetings! \nAuction Background \nWelcome to the first annual 814 auction\, ending on 8/14. What better way to start off this series of auctions from this lifetime collection than to showcase the Gem City. Everything in this particular auction has ties to the 814\, some obvious\, some you’ll have to research. Part history lesson\, part competition….this is a reminder of how historic our city and surrounding area is. \nThis is the first in a series of several online auctions over the next few months-all from a beautiful beach house along Lake Erie from a lifetime collector. You can look forward to future online auctions featuring vintage movie\, war and circus posters\, vinyl\, Star Wars\, Superman\, comic books\, vintage toys\, rock and roll memorabilia\, sports memorabilia\, baseball cards\, and much more-there are likely a number of items that will be going to a major auction house that we partner with (more to come on that). \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFrom the creative eye of a woman capturing an historic aircraft flying over Lake Erie to the factory floors of Girard\, this auction gathers more than a century of Erie-area history into one single-owner collection. Spanning everything from 19th-century commerce to Silver Age comic book art\, this sale is a rare opportunity for collectors\, historians\, and Erie residents alike to bring home a genuine piece of the region’s story. \nWhether you collect vintage toys\, regional Americana\, comic art\, or simply cherish Erie’s past\, this auction offers something for every corner of your collection — don’t miss your chance to own a piece of Erie’s story! \nImportant Sale Dates \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAuction runs from 8/7-8/14 and is hosted at estatesales.net with the link found below. \nhttps://www.estatesales.net/PA/Erie/16502/marketplace/83803 \nSale Preview Hour \nMonday\, August 10th from 5-6pm.  Please call or text Chris to schedule a preview at 814-504-9532 \nPick-Up Day(s) \nMonday\, August 17th 5pm-8pm \n-There will be optional shipping for this particular auction as well. \n-An email with the pick-up address and scheduling link will be sent within one hour of the auction closing. You’ll be able to schedule a time-slot that fits your schedule. If these times do not work for you\, please contact Chris at 814-504-9532. \nAuction Process \nThe online auction bidding is a “hard close” process \, similar to Ebay\, as opposed to a “soft close” process used by other online auction platforms\, which extends the time if there is active bidding towards the end. There is no time extension using this particular platform. The bidding ends when the allotted time for each item expires\, which is displayed under each item. Also\, entering a maximum “max” bid doesn’t necessarily mean you will pay your maximum bid. The system will automatically keep bidding on your behalf against other bidders up to your placed “max” bid for convenience purposes. \nBidding Example \nYou are bidding on a lamp and place a max bid of $58.00 towards the end of the auction. The auction ends on the item and you win the item for $39.00. This means the next highest bidder had a high bid of $38.00\, however you were willing to go up to $58.00. \nYour maximum bid doesn’t automatically jump to that amount when you place the bid. The bid only is increased if there are other bidders actively bidding on the item. Your maximum bids are hidden from other bidders\, essentially creating a level playing field\, so there’s some strategy involved which makes it fun! \nPA Auctioneer License\nAU006428\nAY002551\nBBB A+\nPAA Member \n
